This book is organized into seven parts, namely: (I)
Communication and cultural awareness, (II) Reading and language learning, (III)
Artificial intelligence and teaching writing, (IV) Artificial intelligence and
assessment, (V) Language teaching strategies, (VI) Language for professional
and sustainable development, and (VII) the use of language in multi settings. To
attain the depth and breadth of the content coverage purposively, each chapter
is organized in the same pattern which consists of a number of sections,
namely: Introduction, theoretical framework, current research and its
contribution, and conclusion which covers a brief summary and future direction.
The authors of the book chapters consist of scholars of specific professional background:
full-time students, English school teachers, and mostly university lecturers
who came from various provinces or islands in Indonesia. With the publication
of this edited volume, we expect that the collection of the current issues and
trends in Applied Linguistics and ELT will give benefits to English language teachers,
lecturers, instructors, and those who are interested in broadening knowledge in
Applied Linguistics and skills in ELT nowadays.
